A Day in the Life of Jasmine: The Heart of Compassionate Care
Every morning at 9 a.m., Jasmine knocks gently on Mrs. F’s door with a warm smile and a calming presence. Mrs. F is an older woman who needs mobility assistance. While she can no longer move around her home without assistance, what she looks forward to most each day is Jasmine’s companionship.
Jasmine prepares her breakfast, talks with her about the news, and listens to her stories about life growing up in the South. “Mrs. F loves to reminisce about her childhood, and she’s got a great sense of humor,” Jasmine shares. “We laugh a lot.”
More than just a caregiver, Jasmine provides emotional support, monitors Mrs. F’s comfort and safety, and makes sure she always feels seen and heard. From brushing her hair and picking out a cheerful outfit, to helping her sit outside for fresh air when weather permits, Jasmine brings both heart and skill to every task.
“Caregiving is not just a job for me,” Jasmine explains. “It’s about building connections, showing up with empathy, and giving someone your full presence.”
At Comfort Angels, it’s caregivers like Jasmine who make daily life brighter and more dignified for the people we serve. (photo of Jasmine included)
